Harley Breen, world class comedian, coming to the Roxy

August 7, 2013

Harley Breen has blown away audiences from the sugarcane fringes of Bundaberg to the sweaty stages of the Edinburgh Fringe. Regularly headlining around Australia, Harley has won over a legion of fans with his accessible and relatable comedy.

Consistently unpredictable, Breen’s sets seamlessly move from side-splitting material about the foibles of being a new-age dad to dodgy tales of his beloved old Kingswood; all without missing a beat. A true professional, Breen always leaves the crowd wanting more.

Harley performed his sixth show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year and many would say that the festival just wouldn’t be the same without him. This includes his peers, who awarded him the Comic’s Choice Award in 2011.

Harley is also one of a select handful of comics chosen to tour around Australia as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow. Last year Harley spent two months touring throughout Queensland and Western Australia, finishing it all by playing to roaring houses at the 1200 seat His Majesties’ Theatre in Perth.

Harley was rapt to be invited to perform at season five of The Shelf at the Toff in Town by Justin Hamilton and Adam Richard.  Harley’s no stranger to successful tours, his hit solo show The Kingswood and I made its way around WA in 2011.

Now Harley is bringing his latest show to the Roxy. I Heart Bunnings is sure to be a riotous night out as Harley explores the ultimate man-shed. Harley has two brothers, they’re both carpenters. He likes going to Bunnings to look at things he could make if they were around to fix them.

Perhaps this is Bunnings’ great, dark secret: no one there knows what the hell they’re doing! It is the perfect place to wander around and feel like you’ve got the skills and materials to nail your s*#% together.

So don’t miss the opportunity to see a comedian of this calibre right here in the Roxy.
