About 50 cyclists and 20 support crew will spend the night in Bingara today, as part of the 2014 Ride for the Choper, to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The participants pay their own expenses for the ride, plus raise a minimum of $500 in sponsorship donations. They will stay overnight at the Imperial Hotel.
The bikes will travel from Inverell on Tuesday, through Gum Flat, Copeton and Keera.
The next day, they will travel to Barraba via Upper Horton and Bereen.
