ALEXANDRA (Lexi) Hutton from Bingara has taken out the Patricia Fagan Operatic Aria final at the Cowra Eisteddfod.

Sunday’s performance earned Lexi $6500 in prize money which is donated each year from the Calleen Trust. To top the afternoon she also won the Farleigh Senior Scholarship which earned her a further $2500.

Peter and Christine Delaney congratulate Lexi on
winning the Farleigh Scholarship.

Peter and Jenny Fagan, representing the Calleen Trust, with winner Lexi Hutton.

Lexi is soon to travel to England to further her singing career and says the prize money will certainly give her a chance to reach new heights as an operatic singer. Lexi sang Nell Grave Tormento from the Mozart opera Mitridate as well as O Luce Di Quest Anima from the Donizetti opera Lina di Chamounix.

Adjudicator was Patricia Oertel, a two-time winner of the Patricia Fagan Operatic Aria final.

Congratulations Lexi. Long may your successes continue.
