Bingara school holiday tennis camp was held this week with a strong group of players taking to the court to learn new skills and gain confidence on the court.
Over two days children from years one to six took advantage of the knowledge of Tennis Australia qualified coach, Ken Wray, who has regularly attended Bingara as he travels throughout northern NSW to offer coaching clinics.
Co-ordinator, Jan Miller, says that the kids got a lot out of the camp, taking advantage of the fabulous weather. “They had a lovely morning and were very attentive.”
“They did a lot of drills and games, focusing on hand-eye co-ordination. Amongst the rallies there were other drills to give the children a break,” she said.
Mr Wray says the children have worked hard on serving skills and improving what they had practiced in previous sessions.
