The town pool officially opened just after the October long weekend and is quickly gaining in popularity as the temperatures climb.
“This weather is ideal for swimming, otherwise the water can be a little cool,” swim instructor Ellie Wade said. Sunday’s 41 degree day drew a particularly large crowd. “It was really busy. We had an unexpected bus from Sydney and we went through a lot of chips!”
With qualified supervision at all times, the pool proves to be a popular venue for birthday parties and local functions. Click the image to view slideshow |
The pool will continue to be a hot spot with swimming squad starting soon and intensive Swim and Survive swimming lessons for the ages of two and up being held from January 5 to 15.
