Late night shopping

November 29, 2010

Traditional late night shopping is making a return to Bingara with most shops trading until 9pm on December 15 and 22.

Both are Wednesday nights and participating shops will feature their ‘specials’ and also provide customers with a chance to win prizes in a giant hamper. Customers spending $10 or more during the month of December will be placed in the draw for three prizes.

The hamper will be on display in Fays and includes toys, gifts, gift vouchers, general merchandise and jewellery.

The draw will take place at Fay’s Park 8.30pm on  December 22 and the winners must be in attendance, otherwise re-draws will be made.

One of the standout prizes is a basket ball and photo signed by the legend, Andrew Gaze. It has been donated by the Nab bank and this unique offer is very much appreciated. During the next few weeks details of other exceptional hamper prizes will be published.

The decision to support extended Christmas trading was the result of a large gathering of business proprietors that met socially to discuss how they can improve their service to the Community. Late night shopping was seen as a priority.  So far the following businesses are involved, however others are free to join up for the promotion:

  • Bingara Vet Clinic, Bingara Fruit Market, Bingara Corner Store & Fuel, Bingara Services Club, Bingara Pharmacy, Bingara Newsagency, Bingara Post Office, La Vogue, Imperial Hotel, C & W Partners, June’s Jewellery Creations, Meat on Maitland, Fays of Bingara, Sportsman Hotel, New England Credit Union, Boutique Capri, H.Roy Miller Pty Ltd,  Villa Rouge, Craft Cottage and the list is growing.

Any one else interested may contact Rod King at the Newsagency.

In addition, most businesses will stay open during the Christmas Carnival on December 3.
