Small shrubs in the centre gardens in Maitland Street, Bingara, have made way for lawn.
According to Gwydir Shire Council staff, the changes were made to comply with safety regulations, and to refresh the appearance of the street.
So far, the changes seem to have received a ‘thumbs up’ from the public.
With Maitland Street the venue for the Anzac Day march, the Orange Festival and Thomson Cup march, the centre gardens will make viewing of the parades better.
