Lily Marshall jumping with joy at Gurley results

August 8, 2020

Bingara’s Lily Marshall had a fantastic weekend at Gurley Pony Club’s Show Jumping event. It was one of In one of the few local horse events that have been able to run in recent times, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Lily’s consistent effort over the day saw her come away with her first ever rug win in the D-grade Highest Point Score. “She was beside herself,” said mum, Brooke Marshall.

Lily competed in the A2, Accumulator and Grand-Prix events, with four rounds of jumping held over the day at the Gurley Sport and Recreation Ground. Lily has only recently joined legendary pony, Pearl. 23-year-old Pearl has been a part of children’s show jumping and camp-draft for many, many years, having started in Moree, as well as being with Jess Towns in Gravesend and Bella and Barney Munro in Bingara.

A handful of other Bingara riders joined Lily on the day with Bingara’s Jaqueline Coombes also doing well. Jaqueline’s horse did very well and she took out all her classes at the pony club event.
