Living Classroom ideal venue for Permaculture course

May 10, 2013

Ten people from all over the North West, and from age ten to seventy, attended the first Introduction to Permaculture Course at The Living Classroom last weekend. The Course was conducted by Permaculture teacher, Rick Hutton, through the Bingara Community College.

The students learnt about the ethics and principles of Permaculture, and were shown many practical ways of applying them, to home garden and farm situations.

Composting, earth worms, mulching, water saving and the selection and care for a wide range of plants and animals, were included in the course.

Permaculture students at Bingara's Living ClassroomThe Living Classroom proved to be a great venue for the Permaculture Course. The students enjoyed the quality facilities, the food, the Bunkhouse and a lovely night under the stars around the campfire.
