November 11, 2008

High energy.  Passion.  Exhilaration.  These are just some of the words used to describe the type of performance delivered by Marsala, a group made up of some of the finest international musicians performing today.

All of the talented musicians perform individually and are much sought after in the Australian music scene.  Gino Pengue is one of the finest session guitarists performing today.  Multi-talented bass guitarist Jess Ciampa performs with the Brandenburg Orchestra as a percussionist and trumpeter Vladimir Khusid is renowned as a true virtuoso.

Lead vocalist, Jose Zarb is a songwriter who pens truly original “Australian” songs which he performs with a tongue firmly planted in his cheek and “a big fat Australian accent.”  Jose will be giving away free copies of his recent single “The Horny Cumbia” which is also available as a free download from his website www.jose.net.au

Jose has recently returned from a trip to Yugoslavia where he performed with a great variety of musicians in a number of concerts.   He has promised that he will get down on the dance floor to teach The Roxy audience some Yugoslavian and Russian dancing on the night.
