Meat Profit Day to be held in Bingara, March 2011

May 27, 2010

Double B Beef, in conjunction with Meat and Livestock Australia, is organising a Meat Profit Day to be held in March next year.

Meat Profit Days are the MLA’s major red meat industry events held twice a year. The days provide producers with the opportunity to gain valuable insights from industry leaders and fellow local producers into ways to improve productivity and increase profits.

A range of topics are discussed that are extremely relevant to red meat producers.  The days also allow producers to hear from and meet with presenters to whom they would not normally have access.  The committee is hoping to see more than 400 people attend from around the region.

The organising committee which comprises representatives from the MLA, events promotion company JK Connections, Double B Beef, the NSW Farmers Cattle Committee and the sheepmeat industry met in Bingara last Tuesday week.

Both the MLA representatives and JK Connections were very taken with the Bingara Showground, deciding on that venue for the day. Council staff, Leeah Daley and Rebecca Mack were extremely enthusiastic about the prospect of Bingara hosting the event. They were also keen to see the showground utilised in a different way from the usual functions held there.
