GWYDIR SHIRE COUNCIL ELECTIONS 2021
Council Elections will be held on Saturday December 4th.
Pre Poll voting opens Monday 22 November.
Vision 2020 will host a “Meet the Candidates” evening at The Roxy Theatre on Tuesday 16th November commencing at 7pm.
We have 10 candidates for the 9 positions available, so your attendance is important. Candidates include 8 retiring Councillors (Stuart Dick is not recontesting, and we thank him for his service). In addition we have Bingara resident Dr Chris Michael Matthews, and Croppa Creek resident James Lyndon Mulligan.
Each candidate will be given 5 minutes to introduce themselves and their priorities for the Shire, then there will be a Q & A session.
Warialda Chamber of Commerce will be holding a similar evening on Thursday 18th November in Warialda.
Please note that due to State Government requirements, those who attend must be double vaccinated. However, no such requirement applies for voting in person on Election day.
