Mount Kaputar National Park Local alerts

Parts of Mount Kaputar National Park will be CLOSED from 7am, Tuesday 23 March 2021 to 7pm, Friday 26 March 2021 for an aerial pest control operation.

All visitors are advised to stay on formed tracks only and obey all closure notices.

Closures will vary across the period to minimise disruption. The following areas will be closed at the following times:

7am Tuesday 23 – 7pm Friday 26 March 2021
• Waa Gorge precinct and Mill Bullah walking track
• Upper Bullawa Creek precinct and picnic areas
• Box Hill fire trail
• Green camp and Yulludunida walking track
• Tubaroo fire trail
• Mount Coryah walking track
• Scutts fire trail
• Scutts Hut and Kurrawonga Falls walking track
• Rocky Plateau fire trail and Kaputar Plateau walking track
• Barraba Track
• Bundabulla Circuit and Link Trail walking tracks
• Eckfords Lookout
• Kaputar Summit walking track
• Ningadoo / Beresford / Plagyan precincts

7am Wednesday 24 – 11am Thursday 25 March 2021
The whole park will be closed – except Sawn Rocks – for this period. This includes the closure of the visitor areas listed below, in addition to those above:
• Dunnet Parkway
• Bark Hut campground
• Euglah Rock walking track
• Dawson Spring campground, picnic area and cabins
• Dawsons Spring Nature Trail
• Governor Lookout and walking track
• Doug Sky Lookout
• Lindsay Rock Tops walking track
• Kaputar Summit lookout and picnic area

7am – 10am Friday 26 March 2021
• Sawn Rocks precinct and walking track
