Water, water everywhere! 2012 is shaping up to be another challenging year but in a new – wet – way. It was a shame that the Bingara races didn’t go ahead but we do have Warialda races to look forward to as well as other Winter picnic races and racing carnivals to attend.
The Fabulous Fascinator course scheduled for 18 March 2012 has been cancelled as Christine Thompson (Yarker), the tutor, needed enrolments by 17 February 2012. So Bingara, it’s a shame that we won’t be seeing you in your own creations.
Also, in March – March 10, we have Fenella Jane of KISS (and Tamworth Honey Pot Health Foods) coming to share with us her secrets to simple, natural beauty. Fenella was featured in New England Country Living, Volume 4, Spring 2011. She also has lots of tips on her website: www.KISSbyfenellajane.com.au.
This workshop will be hands on and will run you through what’s in your kitchen cupboard that you can use for skincare.
Katrina Shailer of Sacred Lodge, Inverell is scheduled to conduct 6 weeks of Meditation – Self Empowerment. Those of you who have hit the ground running this year, why not take some time for yourself – commencing 29 February, 7pm-9pm at the Community College. It is not religious – it is a simple way to help you overcome anxiety, stress, relieve tension and quiet the mind. You will learn to use centuries’ old guided breathing and relaxation techniques.
Enrolments are still being taken for Certificate III in Disability and Certificate III in Home and Community Care. You can do one or both. So those carers out there, why not upgrade your skills? There is a lot of demand for skilled carers.
This Thursday, February 23, is a busy day with the Bingara RSL completing their Responsible Service and Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling upgrade; OHS Construction (white card) being conducted at the Community College; and Welding for beginners, with Tony Gomez commencing at the school for 5 weeks, 4pm-7pm.
