On Course with the Bingara Community College

August 18, 2010

What do you want to learn, Bingara?
By the middle of September 2010, the BCC will have planned the courses for 2011 to achieve some funding towards community training.  What would you like to see offered in 2011, please let us know now!

The governments, both state and federal, want to decrease the “skill shortage” and want to increase our skill level.  This means that funding is given for training in Literacy and Numeracy, Certificates III & IV, and courses which will lead onto Certificates III & IV or are vocational (ie job).

So now is the time to let us know what you need to do your jobs better or to get a new or different job.

Farmers – we can organise training for you or your staff in OH&S, record keeping, cattle husbandry, welding, chemical use.  If you require something else let us know.

Retailers – customer service, OH&S, money handling, daily and financial records, advertising?

Health – aged care certificate, OH&S, administer medicines, conflict resolution, just to list a few.

Office – Business services certificates, training in MS Office programs, financial software, record keeping, correspondence.

Hospitality – all 3 levels of food handling, bar skills, waiting skills, cooking days, RSA & RCG.

These are just some examples of the courses we offer.  If there is something you would like to learn and that you need for your work please come and see us or give me a ring to discuss.
