One person’s trash is another person’s treasure

March 21, 2012

Have you had a big clean up lately? Maybe you have just broken through the doorway of the room holding all your ‘junk’ – well not really junk, just all those things you could not get rid of and might really need some day.

This message is exactly for you, we may just be able to help you find a destination for all of the above.

Friends of Touriandi is a small group of people who work to raise money to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of Touriandi residents.

We are planning a Twilight Easter Fair in the grounds of Touriandi, before daylight saving ends, Saturday, March 31, beginning at 3pm.

We would welcome any items that you would like to give away for a good cause.
There will be a cake, garden, bric a bra and $2 stalls stocked with a great variety of saleable items.  Residents of Touriandi will also be running a stall.

Come along, relax and enjoy Devonshire teas in the beautiful grounds of Touriandi, and then listen to the live entertainment.

It will be fun for the children and not so young but fit adults will stimulate lots of memories of yesteryear as we participate in games and races we used to play, including three legged races, egg and spoon and sack races as well as skipping, dunking the apple and throwing mud boots.

Prizes will be Easter eggs and children will be especially welcome to get involved.
It is hoped that visitors will participate in the Easter Bonnet Parade.

Robert Northcott has generously donated his time to run a Big Auction of larger items.
We would be very grateful for any donations for the auction and ask that if you can assist, please contact Brenda Pankhurst, President, on 67241371 to let her know of your donation.
There will be a very worthwhile raffle, tickets at one dollar each will be sold before and during the event. First prize is a $200 open order at IGA, second a $100 Open order.
A barbecue will complete what we are hoping will be a friendly and successful event where we can all support our wonderful aged care facility that does so much for so many.

We would appreciate any efforts of support before and during the event.
