Ladies netball in Bingara has met with overwhelming support, with over 95 ladies signed up to play.
The first of the social netball mornings was held recently, with at least 80 in attendance, aged from eight to 60 years old.
All players showed good sportsmanship and had a good time, with the young ones helping older ladies up when they had the occasional fall.
Players and people who came to watch volunteered their time to referee the games.
The Central School loaned bibs, balls, and equipment, and Council has let the ladies use the netball area at Gwydir Oval free of charge. New players are still welcome, to enter whenever they want.
Little Athletics had some left over money and have given this to the lady netballers to purchase equipment.
The cost is $2 per game to go towards insurance and administration.
Women are travelling from Warialda, Delungra and Upper Horton to play.
