Oztag back on the field

February 1, 2011

Oztag will recommence on Wednesday February 2 at 6.30pm. Due to ground maintenance on the main oval we will be using the number two field closest to Riddell Street.

As we will not be able to use the lights, the first two games will start at 6.30pm and the third game will commence at 7.20pm. For safety reasons, please make sure you are on time and assist us in getting the games finished before the sun goes down.

Week 4, Wednesday February 2
6.30 pm: Rusty Nails versus Allsorts (Cleveland Motel)
6.30 pm: Sporto’s versus Meat on Maitland (Imperial Tradies) 7.20 pm: Imperial Tradies versus Cleveland Motel (Sportos) Bye: Wotamob.

A trivia night will be held in Tamworth on February 19 to raise money for local players who were selected to play in the Australian Oztag team, this includes Bingara Oztag player and Warialda local, Mitch Porter. Let’s support him by getting a few tables together for the evening. If you have any prizes to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

The Oztag State Cup will be held at Shell Harbour between April 8 and 10. If you are interested in playing with a combined Tamworth region team then the trials will be begin Sunday February 6 at 9am at the Plain Street fields in Tamworth. Trials will run for a few weeks to ensure everyone can get down to Tamworth.

Possible divisions will include Open Mens and Womens. Mixed Opens, over 30’s Mixed and over 40’s Mens. This is a great opportunity to increase your skills and play with new people on a representative side.
