Pink Ribbon Breakfasts are a fun, early morning get-together of friends, family or workmates to celebrate the achievements of breast cancer research and raise funds for further research.
Staff from Bingara Community Health Centre have again joined forces with Noelene and Erik Ozols from Bingara’s Imperial Hotel, to host their very own Pink Ribbon Breakfast, with all proceeds going directly to the Cancer Council of NSW for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.
All Bingara community members are being urged to wear pink on the day – shoes, handbags, ties, shirts, whatever! – and join in the Pink Ribbon Breakfast which will be held on Friday November 5 from 8am.
And even if you can’t stay and enjoy a leisurely brekkie, community members can order ahead and take their breakfast to work. Orders can be made ahead of time, and table bookings can be made by phoning 6724 1629. Click Here to view the Menu.
Community Health Nurse Tiffany Galvin said breakfast was the most important meal of the day – so why not combine nutrition with fundraising for a great cause!
“Breast cancer is one of the biggest health problems for Australian women. With more than 12,000 women diagnosed in the past year, chances are you will know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease,” Ms Galvin said.
“Last year’s Bingara Pink Ribbon Breakfast was a great success and we hope to make this year bigger and better.”
Some of the menu items planned for the Bingara Pink Ribbon Breakfast include muesli, trifle, bacon and egg rolls, scrambled or poached eggs, and a Big Breakfast. There will also be an assortment of coffees, teas and juices. Click Here to view the Menu.
Pink Ribbons and merchandise will be available for purchase on the morning.
Bingara Community College tutor, Robyn Gasson will again hold a Pink Pilates session at Bingara Civic Centre. The session will start at 7am on the Friday, at a cost of $10. Please wear loose, comfy clothing. Everyone is welcome to join in, and all proceeds will go to breast cancer awareness.
