Pony Club’s Mini Camp

April 24, 2013

Bingara Pony Club held their annual Mini Camp last Friday and Saturday.  The club hosted 60 riders from Inverell, Warialda, Walgett and Quirindi as well as a large number of Bingara members.

The committee was delighted with the way the camp came together and would like to thank everyone for their assistance. It takes a lot of work to get these events happening and it makes it so much easier when everyone gets in and helps.

The riders enjoyed many different activities and learnt new skills from great instructors. Once again the kitchen went off without a hitch thanks to Bez Dixon and her band of helpers. We also had many beautiful treats donated by parents, which help keep costs down, and kilograms up.

It was wonderful to see some of our patrons and life members back watching and helping another generation of children enjoying pony club.

On Sunday The Ian Hart Commemorative Ribbon Day was held.

All riders competed in a range of events. We have two point score trophies, one for Bingara riders and a visitor’s trophy.

On that note we would like to thank Helen Nicolle who always does a great job as our scorer hidden away in the back room doing a very time consuming and sometimes thankless task.

The highest point score winner for Bingara was Luka McLachlan and the winner of the visitor’s trophy was Sam Perrin from Walgett.
