Red Carpet walk for Black Dog

July 31, 2019

With only a few days until the third Unleash the Black Dog Ball, organisers have all but finalised the sparkling touches of this years ‘giving back to the Gwydir’ theme, and the event is shaping up to be marvellous.

The volunteer committees from Bingara Lions Club, Country Women’s Association, Touriandi Aged Care, together with Robbie Burge, will once again be on hand to assist in running the evening.

We are incredibly grateful for the support from these committees”, said organiser Nikki Rose. “We have such wonderful volunteers in the Gwydir Shire, and it really shows when volunteers put their hand up to help in events such as this one”, she said.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Giving Back to the Gwydir’, with an additional message of maintaining good mental health while we are fighting the draining and devastating drought conditions our shire is currently facing.

“The red carpet is ready to be rolled out for when we unleash the black dog on Saturday night”, said organiser Sarah Crump. “Hopefully guests can come together and enjoy a night away from everyday worries and stresses, and know that there is always support available” she said.

“There are just a few tickets left for purchase, so if you’re interested in joining in on what should be a fun night, contact us now before it’s too late”, said organiser Angela Pritchard.
