REGENERATION WEEK planning to be the focus of meeting

October 25, 2007

Bingara and District VISION 20/20 will have the planning of its REGENERATION WEEK in May 2008 as the main topic for discussion at the November monthly meeting on Thursday, November 1.

REGENERATION WEEK will highlight the current and future projects being developed and supported by the association. VISION 20/20 has selected REGENERATION to be the key theme of all of its projects.

“We see the word to mean, more than sustainable,” said President Garry McDouall. “By REGENERATION we mean the combination of the best of the past with the best of the new, to create projects that will enable our community to thrive in the years ahead.”

REGENERATION WEEK will focus on specific projects that will lead our community forward,” Garry said. “We want to invite key people with expertise in a wide range of interests and endeavours, and combine them with the enthusiastic members of our community, to design, compile and present project outlines across a range of fields.”

At the V2020 November meeting, the attendees will be able to suggest and discuss the plans for REGENERATION WEEK. Education, job creation, agriculture, energy, water, tourism, and conservation are just some of the elements to be considered.

“We welcome all interested people to attend our monthly meetings,” said Garry. “We meet in the Linga Longa Room, Bingara HACC Office, at 6:00pm.”

Other Agenda topics include reports on the progress of the Bingara Website, the Riverscape Project, Bingara Farm Gardens, and EXPOFISH 2008.
