The growth of online banking has been given as the reason for the Regional Australia Bank to reduce the opening hours for both the Bingara and Warialda branches.
In letters to account holders, Kim Burraston, Senior Manager Branch Operations announced that the Bingara Branch will b open from 10am to 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In Warialda, the bank will be open from 10am to 3pm on Monday Wednesday and Friday.
He said that in recent times, particularly over the past few years, the bank has experienced a change in the way members are choosing to conduct their banking. “Many now choose to transact online and as such, over-the-counter branch transactions have been rapidly decreasing,” he wrote. In fact, many of our local members are now not visiting the branch at all.”
These changes will be effective from Tuesday, October 3.
