Strong competition in Oztag

November 15, 2010

Last Wednesday saw week 4 of the Bingara Oztag Competition. 6:30pm All Sorts and Rusty Nails played a fair game with only two points difference at full time, All Sorts went down 9 to 7. Thanks to Alex Stones and Wayne Ford for refs duties and they awarded Kylie Johnson Best and Fairest points for the game.

A close game in the first half with Sportos playing some great oztag. However, the young guns from Meat on Maitland, pulled rank in the second half and dominated Sportos taking the final score to 21 points to 11. Well done to Danika Fields and Shane Fletcher for providing most of the tries for Meat on Maitland, however refs Best and Fairest went to Angus Grant from the Sporto’s who played a great game.

7:30pm Cleveland Motel and Imperial Tradies played a great game. Try for try throughout the game however it was Cleveland Motel who pushed the final score in their favour 9 to 8. Thanks to Jason Lewis and Sinclair Munro for duties, and well done to Mitch Porter of Cleveland Motel who was awarded the Best and Fairest points.

If you have not paid your game fees as yet, this week will be your final chance otherwise you will not be able to play until these fees have been payed. Thank you to all other teams and players that have paid in time. We still have shorts if any players require new one’s, please see Kyra on the night.
