Friday November 5 was a wonderful day in Bingara, not only was the sun shining but over 100 people attended the Pink Ribbon Breakfast at the Imperial Hotel with all money raised going to the Cancer Council and Cancer Research.
The breakfast was co-ordinated by Tiffany Galvin, Health Promotions Nurse from the Bingara MPS.
Susan Mack, Health Service Manager, praised the efforts of Tiffany whose amazing initiative and energy ensures that events such as Pink Ribbon Breakfast go ahead. Tiffany is very community minded and has the ability to engage everyone in her wonderful work.
Special mention also to Erik and Noelene Ozols, this is our third Pink Ribbon Breakfast and without their kind donation of venue, staff and breakfast, it would not be as successful as it has.
Bec Mack from the Gwydir Shire is always supportive of the Bingara MPS, thankyou to Council for the printing of the menus and advertising posters.
The Cancer Council was also present during the breakfast and we would like to thank Shaen Fraser, Liz Groth and Wendy Johnson for their support.
The Hotel looked wonderful decorated in pink, thankyou to the community members who donated flowers and to Di Logan whose wonderful cupcakes tempted many.
The job of waitressing and washing up went to John and Chris Whitfield and the staff of the MPS, showing as always that they are indeed very multi skilled.
Finally a big thankyou to community of Bingara, it was wonderful to see such support for a wonderful cause, we will see you all next year, bigger and better.
