Bingara riders had a successful weekend out competing at the annual Cubbaroo Campdraft, held at Burren Junction.
4-year-old Sophie waited eagerly all week to compete in her very first campdraft competition. Riding her horse, ‘Chic-a-million’, she came away with a score of 23 in the Sadler Family U8’s Cut-out. “She won a ribbon and $5, which she was over the moon about,” said mum, Megan Latham.

Also, in the U8’s Lance Thompson, 5 years, finished a good ride to come 3rd with a 21 on his gelding Roy.

Watch Bingara's Lance Thompson is putting the heat on this 'steer' while competing in the under 8's cutout at the Cubbaroo Campdraft over the weekend. ?It was the first campdraft back in nearly five months for many riders, who said the cattle were good, but made you work for good scores! What was your favourite sport at 5 years old??: thanks to Sandy Shearer

Bingara rider, Brooke McKinnon continued on last year’s good form, taking out the 2020 highest scoring female, 15-17 years Juvenile Draft on her horse ‘Rodlor Sunset.’
