Term 4 at Bingara U3A

October 16, 2020

Bingara U3A has just published its list of activities for the last term of 2020. “We have some interesting and fun events for the end of this year, but we are still moving along slowly in the COVID environment,” said President, Linda McDouall.

“One of our most popular courses is Line Dancing for Beginners, beginning on Saturday October 24th. Bev Matthews can run Line Dancing for six weeks this term which should make the regulars attendees very happy.” Although Line Dancing has been running for a while now, new members are always welcome and do not need to feel that they would be too far behind to enjoy it.

In November there will be another in the very popular series of Armchair Travel which this time will go to Japan. Seeing that no-one can go anywhere outside Australia at the moment, Armchair Travel is the next best thing. It is usually a very entertaining evening out.

Also at the end of October, Belinda Butler from Armidale will demonstrate vegan cookery. “We are thrilled that Belinda will talk about vegan cooking and demonstrate some of her recipes.” said Linda. “Not only will we get to see the food but we will also get to try it as well.

And of course we still run Pilates every Saturday morning, Balance and Bones every Monday and the Artists group on the first Wednesday of each month.”  The Pilates group has number restrictions at present due to COVID but Balance and Bones and the Artists group would be very happy to welcome new participants.

Bingara U3A also holds its AGM on Saturday October 17th at 11:30am in the Conference Room at the Imperial Hotel. The AGM will be followed by a general meeting where it will be possible to make suggestions about what courses and events would be of interest. New and existing members are welcome to attend.

Bingara U3A asks that if you are interested in attending any of these activities, please RSVP to bingarau3a@gmail.com. Also, if you are not already a member of Bingara U3A, please pick up a membership form from the Visitor Information Centre. It only costs $20 for the year.
