A Special General Meeting has been called by the Double B Committee to discuss the proposal that the organisation be wound up. The organisation, which is the oldest running of its kind around the nation, was established 29 years ago.
Over the years it has achieved many successes, providing excellent services for its members, helping them to be effective and efficient cattle producers.
Many of the roles played by Double B in the past have been taken up by other publicly funded organisations, making its existence, to some extent, superfluous.
The meeting, which will be held at The Playhouse in Barraba will be followed by a dinner, to which all members past and present, are invited.
