The North West Theatre cancels May production

April 8, 2008

The North West Theatre Company committee has decided to cancel its plans for a May production. The lack of available actors was the major reason.

The company had engaged professional director Brendan O’Connell from Newcastle to direct the contemporary Australian play “Love Potions” for staging both at the Roxy Theatre in Bingara and to surrounding towns.

“Regrettably we have been unable to cast the play within a time frame that will give Brendan the chance to develop the piece to the standards that we have set for our company.” Said NWTC President, Rick Hutton.

“All parties concerned felt that it was best to cut our losses and reassess our future plans”, he added.

“The NWTC thank Brendan for his time and effort to date as well as the few actors who did audition. We also thank our local press, Roxy management and Erik and Noelene Ozols from the Imperial Hotel for their generous support of our program.” Said Rick Hutton.
