The North West Theatre Company presents “Shadows”.

October 19, 2020

Wow! Live theatre returns to The Roxy!

This November marks the North West Theatre Company’s new production of Josephine Carter’s play “Shadows”, and the event will be a feast of wonderful food and theatrical talent. Bookings are open now for the four shows.

Opening night will be Saturday November 14. ‘Shadows’ includes a delicious three course meal provided by Bingara Lions. Covid19 regulations still apply, so the Roxy doors will open at 7:15pm and the show will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

As the Show invites Bring Your Own drinks and glasses there will be a fifteen-minute window for patrons to leave their drinks at the dinner tables before taking their nominated seats in the Theatre. Covid19 ‘marshalls’ will be an extra role of our Front of House team and patrons are asked to understand this requirement and co-operate.

You can book for ‘Shadows’ on-line or at the Bingara Visitor Information Centre. All tickets are $40 which includes the show and the meal.

Our poster features the very talented Lee Loudon who plays the role of ‘Erica Strong’. Erica is a senior lady living alone in her large family home. Her three adult children visit her to persuade her to leave the house and move into an aged care facility. Erica doesn’t want to leave, and she jokes, informs and pleads with her children. Complicating the story are two “shadowy” figures who drift in and out of the scene. Who are they are, and why are they there?

Director Rick Hutton has blended an excellent cast together. Set Builder Paul Moulton is creating a wonderful stage set that emphasises the home, the characters and the ‘shadows’. Light and Sound is coordinated by Ros Moulton.

Once again Bingara Lion’s Club will provide a delicious meal as a Luncheon for the two matinees and as Dinner for the evening shows.

Live theatre is very special! You, the audience, get to live and breathe real time with the players. You chose what to look at, how to interpret the words and the scenery, and laugh and cry with the characters from your theatre seat. And to top it all off, you get to meet, talk and enjoy a meal with the players after they have performed for you.
