Touriandi Lodge is currently running a raffle to raise much needed funds to purchase a wheel chair friendly vehicle. The Staff of Touriandi identified some time ago that the need for such a vehicle is becoming increasingly necessary especially now that we are endorsing the Ageing in Place philosophy.
The Board of Management welcomed the suggestion with much enthusiasm and so the process began. Access to a vehicle of this nature will ensure that residents can be transferred to appointments or outings in a manner that is appropriate to their need as well as the ability to enjoy outside pleasures.
Earlier this year Touriandi was fortunate to be the recipient of two donations to the value of $4,038.22 which gave the opportunity to kick start the appeal and gave hope that the dream could be a reality. Office Staff have also submitted an application for a grant towards this.
Tickets are available at Touriandi Lodge or the Bingara Advocate Office for $1:00 each. First prize is an outdoor garden setting, second 2 planter pots, third jewellery and fourth a welcome sign. The raffle will be drawn on October 22 at a morning tea.
