On Saturday 27 August Bingara Minor League held their presentation at the RSL Club. In front on family and friends the boys were rewarded for their hard efforts this season.

Trevor Abra presented the under 8’s with their Jerseys. The boys also received a team photo and trophy each. Graham (Blue)McManus, on behalf of the Bingara RSL Club, presented the under 10’s with their Jerseys. They also recieved a team photo and trophy.
Bill O’Brien, Life member of Bingara Minor League recognised Sean Mahoney, Bingara Bakehouse, who recieved the Frank Carey Supporter Trophy and Nedine Young who received the Henry Geary Quiet Achiever Award. Coaches Damien Young and Heath Barton accpeted the Nick Wilson Memorial Shield on behalf of the under 8’s in recognition of their magnificient effort in 2011.

To Rodney McKinnon and Richard Todd, thank you for helping out when others had work committments. A big thank you to Glenda Wright, Carmen Southwell and all the other parents who helped out in the canteen and to Gwydir Shire Council for allowing us to play on the magnificient Gwydir Oval for our home games.
As the season draws to a close we look back at the year and can only hope that the children get as much enjoyment out of next year as they did this year. We would like to encourage anyone who is interested in coaching, referring or playing minor league in the 2012 season to attend our AGM coming up shortly. Please show your support so we can field more teams next year, even under 6’s!
