With the wind behind them, the Under 8s Minor League teams started the Gala Day in Inverell on Saturday in fine form, with great defence by the big boys Tyler Greacen and Seth Keam.
Eager runs by Xavier Smith, Sam Mahoney and Andrew McGarrity saw them leading at half time 24-16.
What a fantastic way to finish off the season with Isaak Johnson and Toby White scoring their first tries of their career and with further tries by Jake White (five tries) and Thomas Young (two tries). Bingara was within reach of a win. Uralla were too strong in the final quarter and the final score was 36-26.
The second game was against Glen Innes and the boys played well. Jack Armstrong was fantastic in attack and defence and Steven Todd and Lincoln Barton demonstrated their passion for the game with fearless runs up the middle. Jake White scored three tries but they could not keep the Big Glen Innes boys out and Bingara went down 28-12.
