Just when we thought the Unleash the Black Dog, Black Tie Ball couldn’t get any better, in comes an auction item that has blown us away, ultimately taking top spot on the donation list and coming in as Platinum sponsors of the ball.
Pokolbin Farm Stay is right in the very heart of the Hunter Valley and features a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom estate overlooking vineyards in a rural setting. The estate is located within minutes of internationally recognised golf courses, acclaimed vineyards and concert venues. The residence also overlooks the very cattle that are being grown as a ‘paddock to plate’ production, and the brand is fast becoming well-known and highly talked about throughout the region.
Tarin Grove Farms is a huge operation, and under that banner sits Pokolbin Farm Stay, Pokolbin Angus Beef Company and PK’s on Pokolbin Café. Between them, these three businesses have put forward an auction package that will have your hand in the air, waving like you just don’t care, and bidding for a getaway!
– Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday: 3 nights away for 10 people in a 5 bedroom estate donated by Pokolbin Farm Stay
– Pokolbin Angus Beef Company will donate a BBQ on one of the evenings. Paddock to plate (snags and steak) exclusively grown on Tarin Grove Farms
– Breakfast at PK’s on Pokolbin Café for a table of 10
And if you think this sounds like a nice getaway, what do you think about a hot air balloon flight over the magnificent Hunter Valley; enjoying 60 minutes of the most spectacular views, along with a post flight celebration at Redsalt Restaurant Crowne Plaza, and a photo package of your group? Add this to the list, because Beyond Ballooning has generously donated 10 tickets, weather permitting.
Get on the phone to your friends, get your syndicate together! This auction item is sure to be a winner on Saturday 22nd October, 2016, and what a way to unleash the black dog!
Organiser Sarah Crump said “massive thanks must go to Tarin Grove Farms for donating this unbelievable auction item, and Beyond Ballooning who has come on board to make it a weekend getaway that 10 people won’t forget”. “The whole package is worth in excess of $5,500, and to have something of that value donated in full is really wonderful”, she said.
This package, together with several other donated items will be offered at the charity auction being held at the Unleash the Black Dog, Black Tie Ball on 22nd October, 2016 at the Roxy Theatre, Bingara. 100% of the proceeds made at auction will be donated in part to the Black Dog Institute, with the balance being held by the Bingara Lions Club to enable further mental health and suicide awareness within the Gwydir Shire.
