David Brown and his band of volunteers put many hours into ensuring the Bingara Golf Course was in excellent condition for last week’s Fossickers Way Veterans’ Week of Golf and it seems it’s a case of job well done.

Those attending the event were very impressed with excellent condition of the grounds on Monday morning while competing in the 18 Hole Single Stableford, the first of the week long golfing event.

The Fossickers Way Veterans Week which this year celebrated 20 years, saw golfers from right across the region enjoy a week of golfing in Bingara, Warialda and Barraba.

While there were individual trophies for each day, most golfers competed for the Mac Dufty Shield which required players to participate in all three of the 18 Hole Single Stableford events to be eligible.

Monday and Tuesday’s events were at Bingara and Barraba with a third event held Wednesday in Warialda before the golfers headed back to Bingara on Friday for the Mystery Aggregate 18 Hole Stableford and the Presentation luncheon.
