The Bingara Golf Course, very green and in superb condition, was a very busy place on Monday as the annual Veterans Week of Golf got underway.
The 63 golfers came from as far afield as Bundaburg Queensland and the Goulburn and Kiama in the south.
The biggest contingent of golfers is from the Newcastle and lower Hunter area, with several coming from coastal areas.
On Tuesday, the golfers played at Barraba, and today, Wednesday, they are taking a trip to Copeton Dam, and returning via New England Winery.
On Thursday, the golfers travel to Warialda for a day of golf, then on Friday morning, they are back on the Bingara Golf course for the final day and presentations.
Most of the visitors are staying at the Caravan Park.
Next week many of those competing will travel to Inverell for another Veterans golf tournament.
