Disruption, Change and Opportunity Workshop

Regional Workshop and the launch of the wider Gwydir Vision 2030 – With the success of the Soil Carbon Workshop just behind us the Gwydir Community is planning for another stimulating Workshop. The title for this one is ‘Disruption, Change and Opportunity’ with the sub-title, ‘Keep Calm … and Keep Innovating with a view towards 2035!’
The purpose is to encourage people to think positively about our future even in the face of uncertain times. It will be a significant event for all those in rural and regional Australia.
It is a one day Workshop with activities during the day focussed on three key areas; Agriculture, Finance and Business. We will divide the day into three sessions with each session introduced by three guest speakers followed by either a Panel Session or a Group Workshop.
That evening we will have a Dinner at the Roxy with our After Dinner Guest Speaker, film maker Damon Gameau. Damon produced the controversial documentary “That Sugar Film!” as well as other acting and directing roles. Damon is currently working on another film concerning soil carbon.
The event will also serve to launch the ‘Wider Gwydir 2030’ initiative of GSC and the Gwydir community. Our local State MP and Minister for Tourism, Adam Marshall will launch this initiative during the Lunch session.
