Swing into Spring at The Roxy Theatre

August 12, 2019

Bring on the warmer weather and treat yourself to a night or afternoon out at The Roxy Theatre. Coming up in September and October the Roxy Theatre will have a great line up of live performances with something for everyone, both young and old.

Kicking off the events on the 14th September will be George Washingmachine & the French Fries. If you are into jazz and manouche then this is a performance is one that you won’t want to miss.

Only a fortnight later, stomp the night away with The Stomping Ivories on the 28th September. One drum, two pianos, three men and infinite fun playing everything from Lady Gaga to Gershwin.

In need of something for the kids in the next school holidays? On the 2nd October we have a live performance that will entertain the whole family and keep the kids rolling in laughter for an afternoon full of fun with “You Will Never Guess Where I Hid the Cheese”. After the show there will be a comedy workshop for budding performers aged 7 to 11. In the workshop you will learn one of the most fundamental elements of clowning – playfulness.

Accomplished pianist David Scheel will complete our lineup of swinging into spring live performances on the 12th October. He will be performing his Mad Maestros concert which pays tribute to the greatest eccentrics in musical history, in a hilarious mix of true stories and beautiful music.

This is only a taste of the live performance coming up over spring. There will be so many more performances added to the calendar, so watch this space for updates of what’s on at The Roxy!
