A very pleasant morning at the Roxy Café last Thursday saw the Bingara Lions Club giving back to the community of Bingara once again. Representatives from five community groups were on hand to receive cheques from the club.
Nicole Dixon from the Bingara Swimming Club, Tony Miller from the Bingara Tennis Club, Garry O’Neile representing Bingara Bowls Club, Brian Hughes from Legacy, and Debbie Bancroft from the Scrapheap Challenge, raising money for Downes Syndrome, were all grateful to the Bingara Lions Club, and each indicated the funds would be put to good use.
“This is what our Lions Club is all about; we are all volunteers ‘Here to Serve’,” Lions club member, Chris List, said.
