2015 NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards – Call for nominations

Our Nation’s big day of the year – Australia Day – is nearly upon us again.  Bingara Special Events Committee is searching for the Local Citizen of the Year for Australia Day 2015.

Australia Day 2015Do you know someone in the local community who has undertaken countless volunteer hours in our community for a local sporting group, service organisation or for any other community based group or organisation or an educational facility?  Do you know someone in our community who has an outstanding achievement in their work or studies?

Bingara Special Events Committee invites you to nominate this local individual for the 2015 Local Citizen of the Year Awards.

The Awards will be presented during the Community Breakfast and Official Ceremony in the grounds of the Bingara District Historical Society Museum on Australia Day, 26 January 2015.

This Award allows local communities to recognise the contributions that many individuals make to our community each year.  We are proud to recognise these individuals whose contributions and achievements illustrate our Australian culture and what it means to be Australian.

Nominations with appropriate supportive material will be accepted from organisations and individuals up until close of business 4pm Friday 19 December 2014 at the Gwydir Shire Council, Bingara Office or by emailing to mail@gwydir.nsw.gov.au
