Love your local Northern Tablelands businesses

October 17, 2014

Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall is encouraging locals to nominate their favourite business for this year’s I love my local business Facebook competition, which promotes businesses that are popular in their local communities.

“Now in its third year, this popular and fun competition is back to promote local businesses delivering a great service to consumers,” Mr Marshall said.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community and this competition is a great way for consumers to sing the praises of their favourite local business.

“Consumers can nominate their favourite because they go out of their way to do the right thing by their clients, show great innovation, make the best hamburgers in town or simply because they are big supporters of their local community.

“If you have a favourite small business, all you have to do is go to the NSW Fair Trading Facebook page and describe, in 60 words or less, what you love about the local business.

“An independent judging panel would decide on the winners from across the State.”

By entering, consumers can win one of six prizes of $250 in value.

Local businesses wanting to encourage their customers to nominate them can head to NSW Fair Trading’s website to download promotional materials, including a competition poster and web-friendly images.

Voting closes on Sunday, November 9. To enter go to: www.facebook.com/FairTradingNSW or visit www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au
