Kelsey Cooper has proven that starting a career locally really has its benefits after winning the 2015 Junior Employee of the Year at last Friday’s Gwydir Vocational Education and Community Business Awards.
Kelsey is a born and bred Bingara girl who, after finishing school in 2014, was undecided about what the future held for her. Having started part time work at the Bingara Newsagency during her schooling at Bingara Central and having a strong connection to the Bingara Community Kelsey was pleased when the opportunity became available to join the team at JA McGregor’s earlier this year. This opened up many pathways to a career in Real Estate and Property Management. After six months with the JA McGregor team Kelsey has proven quite the asset to business.
“We are very pleased to have Kelsey working with us,” said JA McGregor’s Property Manager. Ann Reardon told the Advocate. “Kelsey has great work ethic, is very efficient and always very pleasant to work with.”
The business award was presented to Kelsey during the Business Awards presentations held in Warialda with a citation reading as follows. “Kelsey is delightful, happy, polite and approachable. She is extremely knowledgeable in her role and capable of managing business unsupervised and is proactive and uses initiative. Kelsey is constantly studying to upgrade her skills and has a mature outlook on life.”
Kelsey was among many deserving Gwydir business owners and employees who were recognised during the presentations along with Gwydir Vocational Education students.
