This weekend will see the third Martin Turner Memorial Shield contested. The competition will run 9.00 am Saturday to 3.00 pm Sunday, and is open to everybody, not just Anglers Club members.
This is a Yellow Belly only competition so please release all other species caught (not carp).
Registrations and weigh-ins will be taken at the new boat ramp up stream of the pump house.
Prizes will be: Biggest senior fish (length); biggest junior fish (length). The longest accumulated length of fish will win the shield.
There will be a barbecue on site Saturday afternoon.
All proceeds from this competition will go to the Cancer Council, Australia.
Remember, you can fish anywhere for this competition. Copeton, Horton, Gwydir, Myall Creek, anywhere you like! Size and bag limits must be followed.
The weather is great, the fish are biting on craybobs and shrimp I believe, so kids, grab a hat and sunscreen and get amongst them, good luck and good fishing.
