Across the Story Bridge

August 24, 2010

This week is children’s book week and ACROSS THE STORY BRIDGE is the 2010 theme. The Children’s Book Council of Australia announces the Book of the Year winners at this time.  However, the most important message from book week is “reading is fun”!

To celebrate Book Week Bingara Central School will have special “guests” in the library each lunch time to share the award-winning books!

Go and find out who has crossed the story bridge!

To celebrate Children’s book week the Bingara Preschool will be holding a
book fair. As well as children’s books there are books for all ages and
tastes. Cooking, Gardening, Teenage, Mystery, Classic Novels, Historical, Card
sets, Games to name but a few. The books will be on display from Tuesday 24
August until Friday 27 August at the Bingara Preschool.

All members of the public are welcome to come and browse this magnificent collection at fantastic prices. So, if you missed out at the Orange Festival come along and have a look and maybe start your Christmas shopping early this year?

The Bingara Preschool would also like to remind everyone that their Art Exhibition is on Friday night.  Nedine Young, President of the Bingara Preschool fundraising committee, said "Have the night off from cooking and come on down to the Bingara Showground. Mash will delight you with her baked dinner and caramel tarts.  Tickets are $15 per person or $35 for a family ticket and this includes entry, nibbles and a 2 course meal.  The evening is BYO and Ronnie Greenaway will be auctioning off some fantastic items.  All proceeds will go towards the painting of the preschool."
