Action aplenty at the 2016 Bingara Show

March 8, 2016

Bingara Show Society committee members have drawn up an impressive range of events which will no doubt appeal to most members of the community.

The show will be opened by former Bingara lad, Charles Mill, the RAS Rural Achiever for 2015. The opening will take place at 12.30 pm on Saturday.

The show begins on Friday morning with dressage events, and the receival of all pavilion and wool entries.

The Junior parader and judging will be held at 4pm in the cattle ring. The main day, Saturday, offers a wide range of free entertainment, as well as the traditional events found at a country show.

The ever-popular campdraft event starts at 7am, and will continue on Sunday.

Showjumping starts at 8.30am, and will also continue on Sunday. Ring events will also start at 8.30, and continue throughout Saturday and Sunday.

The cattle and sheep judging will begin at 9.00 am.

The pavilion opens at 9.00 am. This part of the show is, for many people, the most interesting.

In the evening, the Six bar showjumping spectacle in the main arena at 6pm is always a crowd pleaser.

Live music on Saturday night will be a fi tting conclusion to what is sure to be a very busy day.

For people who could not get around all of the exhibits on Saturday, the pavilion will be open on Sunday until 1pm, when exhibitors can collect their exhibits and prizes from the pavilion.

A new section in the pavilion is the Home Brew competition, which is open to all levels of home brewers.

Categories in this section include Light Beer, Dark Beer and Cider.
