Australia Day nominations

November 4, 2013

Gwydir Shire Council (Special Events and Tourism Committee) and the
Australia Day Council of NSW are searching for the NSW Local Citizen of the Year for Australia Day 2013.

Do you know someone in our community who has undertaken countless volunteer hours for a service organisation, a local sporting or community group or an educational facility? Do you know someone in our community who has an outstanding achievement in their work or studies?

Gwydir Shire Council (Special Events and Tourism Committee) and the Australia Day Council of NSW invite you to nominate this individual for the 2013 NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards.

The Awards will be presented at official ceremonies throughout New South Wales on Australia Day, 26 January 2014.

The Awards allow local communities to recognise the contributions that many individuals make to their community each year.

We are proud to recognise these individuals whose contributions and achievements illustrate our Australian culture and what it means to be Australian.

Nominations with appropriate supportive material will be accepted from organisations and individuals up until close of business (4 pm) at the Gwydir Shire Council, Bingara Office on Friday 20 December 2013 or by emailing mail@gwydir.nsw.gov.au

Nomination forms and guidelines for nominations are available from Gwydir Shire Council – Bingara Office.
