In October last year, the Bingara Showground was transformed into a motorhome Oasis.
More than 1000 motorhomes, and more than 1900 people descended on Bingara, not only spending tens of thousands of dollars in the local community in the week of the rally, but many arriving weeks before and staying on after the rally ended. The contribution to such a small town was enormous.
The friendships gained will be long lasting, many due to the successful inaugural host a motorhome program.
The Showground power and water supplies were upgraded before this event to satisfy OH&S criteria. All these improvements will be there for the long term, and all other users of the Showground.
The award was accepted by Deputy Mayor, and liaison Councillor for the rally, Cr. David Rose.
