Koala Hospital is the female koala rescued at Bingara in November
2018.

Rechristened from “Lis” to “Bingara Liz” in honour of local WIRES carer Liz Kakoschke, who along with Ken Withers, have rescued several sick and injured koalas in the North West of NSW.

Bingara Liz” is on the road to recovery and will hopefully be released back to her home on the Gwydir River at Bingara in 2019.

Her recovery, and that of many other koalas, is testimony to the amazing specialist care that staff and volunteers give at the Koala Hospital in the ongoing battle to save this iconic but rapidly declining species.
