BINGARA UNDER 8’S PULL OFF FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

May 30, 2011

It was with nothing but pride and joy that family, friends and coaches watched as the Mighty Advocate Under 8’s pulled off their FIRST WIN of 2011 against Warialda on Saturday. Some great opening runs by Will Johnson, Sam Mahoney and Andrew McGarrity showed the boys were ready to have an awesome game, with the first try for Seth Keam in the opening quarter a great moment.

It just kept getting better. Tyler Greacen scored a try that had the spectators on their feet and Jake White managed to put the ball over the line 3 times. Isaak Johnson, Toby White and Steven Todd made some great dashes for the line which pumped the team up more, and with Thomas Young and Xavier Smith contributing to some fantastic tackles the boys showed what they are capable of.

They knew they could do it. Seth scored another great try and, with a mighty dash, Lincoln Barton got one through as well. There was some real improvement in tackles by the team which they should be as proud of as their coaches are. The game was exciting to watch, sending a few people hoarse with sheer joy!

The boys have done Bingara proud and win or lose they will continue to do so.

Catch them this weekend in Bingara at the All Schools Carnival.
