August 10, 2016

This Friday at 12 noon – Booroomooka Angus will be selling 229 Bulls at the Annual Bull Sale, to be held on the property Keera. Booroomooka cattle are renowned for resilience, high fertility, outstanding doing ability, good weight gain with high carcass quality.

Booroomooka Angus Stud aims to make it easier for bull buyers to build productivity and profitability in their herds.

2016_booroomooka_bullAll the sale bulls are rigorously select for structural soundness, type and temperament. The bulls have been independently structurally assessed and are ‘ready to work’. All bulls have passed a Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness Examination (BBSE) by Dr Ben Gardiner. They are tested PI free of pesti virus, vaccinated for vibriosis and 7 in 1.

The Booroomooka Angus Herd has been strategically developed since 1926 in the Keera valley.

The females are mated to Industry leading sires. This year, buyers have a quality choice of 40 sons of Bartel E7. He is in the top 1% of the breed for Calving Ease, Milk, Fertility, Carcase Weight and Marbling. This with good growth and muscle puts him in the top 1% for $ Profitability in all four Breeding Indexes.

23 sons are sired by GPS, a bull proven to be a trait leader for calving ease, marbling, carcase weight and growth. Home Bred sire – Booroomooka Galileo has 35 sons in the sale, his progeny are lovely quiet cattle with heaps of length. They have low birth weight with explosive top growth.

Other leading sires of the sale bulls include: Novak (21 sons), Inspired (26 sons), Reserve (17 sons), Thunderbird (12 sons), Regent (11 sons) and Genius (11 sons).

“The market outlook for quality Angus infused cattle is exciting,” Sinclair Munro said.  “Our customers are rewarded with significant price premiums.”

“The Booroomooka Angus cattle are highly fertile, productive and have a quiet temperament,” he said.

The Bulls will be yarded and available for inspection from 9am.
